Signage
Alongside the Codes of Practice, signage of the European Marine Site is seen as an essential tool for connecting with users, both to provide advice on conducting activities with minimal damage to the key features and enhancing their visit by providing interpretative information about the site and how it is managed.
The Humber Signage Project was undertaken in two phases throughout 2007 and 2008 and resulted in a total of 14 interpretation boards erected at chosen locations across the area covered by the Humber Estuary European Marine Site.
The project was funded by the Humber Estuary Relevant Authorities partnership, with additional financial assistance provided by the Crown Estate through their Marine Communities Fund.
