Grey seals at Donna Nook

Grey seals at Donna Nook

The first grey seal pup was born at Donna Nook in 2014 on the 25 October.  There were 1799 pups born during the breeding season which continues to the end of December.  This was an increase of around 7% on last year.  However, Donna Nook has been overtaken by Blakeney, in Norfolk, as the biggest English grey seal colony.  Over 2300 pups were born at Blakney.  Donna Nook had around 55,000 visitors during the season and people were impressed by the Environment Agency's new car park and boardwalk.
